Chilli Idli Recipe
Chilli Idli fry is one of the very popular Indo Chinese dish that tastes divine with a combo of onion raitha. Ingredients
- Idli - 5 to 6
- Cumin - 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Green chilli - 2
- Onion - 2
- Capsicum - 1/2
- Cumin pwd - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli pwd - 3/4 tsp
- Garam masala pwd - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli sauce - 2 tbsp
- Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves
- Spring onions to garnish
- Oil to deep fry
Method
- Slice soft idli to cubes.
- Keep it ready.
- Heat oil in kadai / frypan.
- Add the idli pieces and deep fry until golden & crispy.
- Drain in kitchen tissue and set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in frypan.
- Add cumin seeds and wait to splutter.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
- Add green chilli, cubed onions, capsicum and toss.
- Add cumin pwd, red chilli pwd, salt, garam masala pwd, red chilli sauce, soy sauce and tomato ketchup.
- Toss good in high flame.
- Add fried idlies and saute.
- Add finely sliced coriander leaves and spring onions.
- Turn off flame.
- Lipsmacking delicious chilli idli is ready!
- Enjoy hot with onion raitha.
