Mutton Soup
If you're a non-veg lover, then this healthy delicious mutton soup is for you! This is my Grandma's signature recipe. She prepares this mutton bone soup frequently & is very nutritious, great appetizer & tastes divine. In this south Indian style soup recipe, the mutton bones to cooked soft along with aromatic spices and tempered with bay leaf, cinnamon & cloves. The spice level is mild & you can alter it according to your taste & preference. Preparation time: 10 mins

Ingredients
- Mutton bones - 250 g
- Onion - 1/2
- Tomato - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper pwd - 1/2 tsp
- Toor dal - 1 tbsp
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 4
- Salt to taste
- Curry & coriander leaves
Method
- Clean and wash mutton bone pieces.
- Add it to cooker.
- Add sliced onion, tomato, curry & coriander leaves.
- Add ginger garlic paste.
- Add turmeric pwd, red chilli pwd, toor dal and salt.
- Add 4 to 5 cups of water and stir.
- Cover & pressure cook for 4 whistles in high flame.
- Simmer the flame and cook for another 10 to 12 mins.
- Turn off flame.
- Once the pressure goes off, open the lid and mash the contents.
- You can see the mutton bones are cooked perfect as shown in video.
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in frypan.
- Add cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and curry leaves.
- Allow to splutter.
- Add the seasonings to mutton soup and stir.
- Add pepper pwd and turn off flame.
- Add freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
- It tastes lipsmacking delicious with all the goodness of it.
