Kaju Katli Recipe
Here comes the India's very popular sweet recipe that is prepared during festivals like Diwali, krishna jayanthi, ganesh chaturthi, holi, raksha bandhan, etc. Its a perfect dessert that you can gift for your loved ones during the festive season. Its very simple to prepare this delicious fudge at home & it requires very few ingredients like cashew, sugar, cardamom and ghee. Ingredients
- Kaju / cashewnuts - 200 g
- Sugar - 150 g
- Milk pwd - 25 g
- Cardamom pwd - 1/4 tsp
- Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp
Method
- Add cashewnuts to blender and grind to smooth powder.
- If required seive the powder to remove the lumps and set aside the fine cashew powder.
- Add sugar to pan.
- Add 3/4 cup of water and heat it.
- Stir to dissolve.
- Keep stirring until the sugar syrup reaches single strand consistency as shown in video.
- Now add the powdered cashew and milk pwd.
- Keep stirring in low flame.
- Add ghee and cardamom pwd and mix.
- Keep stirring until the mixture starts rolling on the sides of the pan.
- Grease a butter sheet with ghee.
- Pour the mixture and let it cool for 5 mins.
- Knead to smooth soft dough.
- Cover the dough with another butter sheet and roll it with rolling pin to flat shape.
- Slice it when its still warm to diamonds.
- Let it cool completely.
- Lipsmacking delicious homemade kaju katli is ready.
